MADE-TO-ORDER ENGAGEMENT RINGS
Classic, beautiful designs that can be customised with a choice of gemstone and metal to suit you.
ABOUT
Choose your engagement ring with confidence from my collection of pre-designed engagement rings. You can simply order your ring to be handcrafted as it is with the gemstone and metal that I have recommended, or customise it further!
The rings feature either diamonds or pink or blue sapphires, but you may choose to have alternative coloured gemstones, different shapes or larger sizes. If you wish to customise the gemstone, I will show you a few different options to choose from and will help guide you through what choice will work best for you.
Each design has a signature metal recommendation but you can choose from either platinum or 18ct white, rose or yellow gold; some designs look great combining two different metals. If you struggle to decide between two rings you can even choose the head of one ring and the band of another in an even more bespoke approach.
With each customisation you'll receive an image of how your finished ring will look and a bespoke quote before we proceed.

THE PROCESS
Please allow a minimum of 10 weeks for your Made-to-Order engagement ring.
STEP 1 - CHOOSING YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGN
If you see a design in the collection that you love as it is, simply order and pay for it online and it shall be made within 10 weeks. Or, if you would like to make a few tweaks to a design contact me and we can have a consultation in person or over a phone/video call about your desired customisations.
STEP 2 - GEMSTONE SOURCING, DRAWINGS & DEPOSIT
If you would like to see alternative options for the gemstones, you will be able to choose what you like from a selection sourced from my trusted merchants based in Hatton Garden and the Birmingham jewellery quarter. Either view them in person in Kent or London, or I can send lots of videos and pictures via email. I’ll explain the different qualities of diamonds and gemstones so you understand what’s perfect for your budget. You may already know about the 4 Cs: cut, colour, carat and clarity but if not I'll take you through all you need to know and you can read through my diamond guide.
If you would like to make changes to the design, you will receive CAD renders of the design to approve beforehand. You will also receive a bespoke quote for your ring with each design, metal and gemstone customisation. Once you have decided what stone you would like in your ring and the final design, I will ask for a 50% deposit to be paid via a BACS transfer, the remaining balance is to be paid upon completion.
STEP 3 - MAKING THE PIECE
The multiple components that make up your engagement ring are cast in your chosen precious metal. I then craft these miniature pieces of metal together using age-old hand skills.
STEP 4 - SETTING
Your ring is set with its glittering gemstones into the metal framework.
STEP 5 - POLISHING
The piece is polished with various grades of polish that go from coarse to fine, polishing out scratches on the surface of the metal, making the piece become gradually shinier and shinier.
STEP 6 - CLEANING & HALLMARKING
The final step! After polishing, your ring is cleaned to remove the polish. It is then sent to The Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office in London for hallmarking to display what metal it has been made in, the year it was made in, and my maker’s mark. It’s now ready for you to treasure forever!
A GIFT FROM ME TO YOU
If you've commissioned me to make a bespoke engagement ring for you, you will also receive a bottle of Pink English Sparkling Wine from Terlingham Vineyard, a band of three sisters on a mission to make natural farming on vineyards the norm. Their small family run vineyard is based just outside of Folkestone overlooking the glistening English Channel.
