DIAMOND ORIGIN

Diamonds date back to the earliest stages of our planet's 4.5-billion-year history, making them among the oldest tangible objects we can hold in our hands today - the perfect symbol of an enduring and timeless love.

Diamond is the hardest naturally occurring material known to man, making it exceptionally resistant to scratching. Its remarkable durability makes it an ideal choice for an engagement ring that can be worn and cherished every day for a lifetime.

Choosing the perfect diamond is an important part of the journey. During your consultation, I will guide you through every aspect, helping you select a stone that reflects both your style and story.

WHAT ARE THE 4Cs?

Every diamond is unique, much like a human fingerprint, with its own individual characteristics and qualities. The globally recognised standards for assessing a diamond's quality are known as the 4 Cs: Colour, Cut, Clarity, and Carat.

With so much information available, choosing a diamond can sometimes feel overwhelming. I will guide you through the process, explaining the 4 Cs and helping you select the perfect diamond for your bespoke piece of jewellery.

I work only with diamonds of exceptional quality and carefully select stones that meet my exacting standards. During your consultation, I will present a curated selection of diamonds, allowing you to compare them and choose the one that speaks to you most.

DIAMOND SHAPE

The shape of a diamond is determined by the way it is cut, which is why the terms diamond shape and diamond cut are often used interchangeably. Each rough diamond is carefully cut to maximise its beauty and make the best use of the original stone, resulting in a faceted diamond that showcases its unique character.

When choosing an engagement ring, the shape of the diamond plays an important role in the overall style of the piece. Popular brilliant-cut shapes include the timeless round brilliant, oval, cushion, pear, and marquise cuts, all prized for their exceptional sparkle. Alternatively, you may prefer the clean lines and elegant geometry of a step-cut diamond, such as an emerald or baguette cut, which feature long, parallel facets and a more understated brilliance.

During your consultation, I can show you a variety of diamond shapes, helping you find the one that best reflects your personal style and complements your ring design.
