Alongside the designing stages is the gemstone sourcing and metal choice. Your piece of jewellery can be made in 9ct or 18ct gold in white, yellow or rose, or platinum. When it comes to gemstones, I will hand-source them myself from my trusted merchants based in Hatton Garden and Birmingham’s jewellery quarter. I will show you a selection and explain the different qualities, for diamonds, the 4 C’s are taken into account: Carat, Colour, Clarity and Cut.
